4 Things To Do Before You Sell

Get everything ready to sell to avoid surprises

Obtain estimates from a reliable contractor on items that need to be repaired. For example, price new carpeting or a roof will provide, buyers with a better sense of how much these items cost. In addition, you may find it feasible to follow through yourself on repairs.

Obtain a pre-sale home inspection. This will show potential buyers that you are being transparent about the items in the home that require repair.

Gather together warranties and guarantees on the furnace, appliances, and other items that will remain with the house.

Fill out a disclosure form. Take the time to properly fill out all problems the home may have, however minor. Doing so will prevent liability for you after the sale.
