For this week’s Vancouver Island Vision, Shannon takes a visit to the very popular location of Beaver Lodge Lands in Campbell River. The lush forest was donated to the City of Campbell River in 1931 by the Elk River Timber Company. With over 1000 acres of land, Beaver Lodge provides trails for everyone; running, walking, biking and is even wheelchair accessible. There are a few different sets of pump tracks for those bikers out there looking to have some fun. The vegetation stays green all year round and homes many types of species.
